Routine is key to life and can easily lead to a reduced stress-free life
As you probably already know if you have kids, when you get them up and ready for school in the morning. If you follow a routine properly, then they get to school on time, but when the routine goes wrong or you don’t have a routine, you always end up being late.
This is the same for weight loss, you need to create some sort of routine that fits your lifestyle and weight loss goals. By following the same routine each and every day, it means you have less chance of slipping up.
So a few months back I create 7 small daily habits, that I get my clients to do each and every day. This keeps them on track and moving forward with their transformation, plus making sure they hit certain targets every day.

1. Getting a Green Smoothie in Every Morning!
This is a great way to start the day off by getting a good amount of your daily vitamins and minerals in. Not only that, the Green Smoothie can be your breakfast done and dusted in just 2 minutes or to take with you.
One thing I love about the Green Smoothie is that you can get your whole family involved. Tell your children that it is a milkshake, this breakfast will massively help them keep focused at school.
2. Workout Every Day
I asked my clients to workout every single day, no matter if they can make it in for their session or not. On the days they can’t come in, they try one of our online 10 minute HIIT sessions.
A simple 10 minute workout is perfect to make sure the metabolism is firing on all cylinders and fat is being burnt. I would also 100% suggest that you get this type of workout done the moment you wake up, it is then out of the way and you don’t need to worry about it.
3. Their MyFitnessPal Stats
I have my clients use an app called: “MyFitnessPal” to track their foods during each day. We then get them to post their Macro stats at the end of the day into the Private Support Group to keep us updated on how they look.
Using “MyFitnessPal” will make a huge difference to the way you eat, as it will help keep you focused, accountable to yourself and motivated to keep going. Try it yourself, download the app and give it a go.
4. Post in the Private Facebook Group
We have a private Facebook group for both the Men & Women Southampton groups, plus one for our Online Clients. This is the place to share their wins, losses, struggles, questions and anything else they need help with. What they love about this is that it helps keeps us all updated with each other and holds us all accountable.
Try is? Find a group of friends who have the same goals as you, and support each other.
5. Drink 2 Litres of Water
I can’t stress how important this is! Getting at least 2 litres of water in per day will increase your energy levels, make your skin glow, make you feel more awake. Plus burning more calories, as you on your feet more as you will need the toilet 😉
6. 1 Minute Plank
Everyone loves a toned stomach, that is exactly why I get all my clients to do this move every day for just a minute. The plank quickly tightens up your core, pulling it in and allowing you to fit back into your favourite shirts, dresses or whatever you like to wear. Drop and do a plank for 1 minute now 🙂
7. 10,000 steps
This is a great one for anyone stuck in an office all day. 10,000 steps is about 5 miles which is a fantastic distance to cover each day. Get this done each day and you too will start to get results like my clients.
