Here is what Angela had to say after just 8 weeks….2 stone 2lb and 20.5 inches off my body:

Hi Ladies, firstly apologies for what may turn out to be a long post!
I wanted to share my story so far and hopefully inspire you to keep on your own journeys.
I joined David Kyle’s UnstoppableWOMEN program in Southampton on 12th January this year having hit rock bottom with my weight. I was out of control and each day I said to myself ‘you must be good tomorrow, you can’t go on like this’ yet the next day there would inevitably be something which tipped me over the edge whether it be stress at work, kids playing up, husband trouble, you name it and it happened, but rather than thinking about what I wanted (the old me back) I used food as a means of self destruction. I was miserable and I wanted to be invisible, putting on weight was a way of coping and hiding away.
What I needed to do was think about the positives in my life and use them to help drive me forward. I have two beautiful children which I went through hell to have with multiple miscarriages and I want to be the best mum I can be to those kids. I want to be able to go swimming, trampolining, rock climbing and anything else they want to do and I want to be able to do it with them every step of the way. I also want them to be proud of their Mummy.
So what has changed 8 weeks on from that first chat with Dave?
I have made time for me – us Mum’s are always at the bottom of the pile sorting everyone else out, but we need to be a little selfish and put ourselves first too, be it the food we cook, making time for exercise, having time to just breathe, or having a bath without little people interrupting!
I have regained control – my food BD (Before Dave!) was a wall to wall carb fest of cereal, bread, pizza, takeaway, more pizza followed by a truck load of chocolate and I just couldn’t be bothered to cook. I didn’t have the energy to think about planning food for the next day let alone the week, the fridge was bare with not a vegetable in sight! And I didn’t care, BUT what behaviours did this role model to my kids? that it’s OK to eat junk and it is NOT OK!!
To me control is the key, I need to face up to what I am eating and think about how it will affect where I want to be (the new skinnier version of me!) so I log everything I eat in My Fitness Pal which is something Dave asks everyone to do on his programme, and I mean log EVERYTHING!! It’s no good only logging the good stuff, you need to log the bad stuff too so that you can understand how much you have eaten and keep control. OK so you have one biscuit, log it and move on, think about how many calories you should be eating for the day and adjust your intake, don’t think ‘I’ve started so I’ll finish (the packet)’.
Finally look at the macros in My Fitness Pal, I really control my carb intake as I have a lot of weight to lose and I WANT to get the results I deserve. So, if your carb intake is high it will slow your weight loss as your body burns this first before burning your fat stores.
So, I guess you are wondering how much I have lost in those 8 weeks….2 stone 2lb and 20.5 inches off my body. I feel amazing, I have loads more energy and am rediscovering lovely dresses and LK Bennett shoes in my wardrobe smile emoticon
You can do this too ladies, use this forum and motivate each other, follow the 10 minute work outs and make time for yourselves or come and join Dave and his UnstoppableWOMEN programme, we really motivate each other to go for it and work as hard as we can and have a few laughs along the way!
